In the creation of Council Estate Boy I was inspired by the Mod subculture of the 1970’s, drawing inspiration from the film ‘This is England’ directed by Shane Medows and fashion and music of the era.  Collaborating with photographer Alfie Wright the concept of the shoot was to depict cultural nuances of the Mod movement and reflect the gritty, rawness of urban city life in northern England.  For the Styling I incorporated references to retro style including polo shirts, bowler hats, braces and checked shirts and fused this with elements of modern, urban fashion such as sports tops and denim jackets.  The editorial was published in the Summer 2016 issue of Dreck Magazine.
